Big demand to see Broncos at Brewery.

Tickets for the Celtic Crusaders' showdown with World Club finalists Brisbane Broncos in South Wales in the New Year are selling fast.

And the match, at the Brewery Field in February, is attracting interest from rugby league fans from all over the UK.

The fixture is being used by the Australian NRL Champions as a warm-up for their World Club Championship head-to-head against St Helens seven days later.

The Broncos are expected to take a full-strength squad to the Brewery Field for the match on Thursday, February 15 (kick-off 7.30pm), including captain Darren Lockyer, considered to be the best all-round rugby league star in the world today.

Crusaders' coach John Dixon, who secured the high-profile friendly thanks to his past links with the Broncos where he was assistant coach for 10 years, said: 'The interest in this game has been phenomenal. We've had fans from all over Wales and the rest of the UK booking tickets, with a lot of London-based Australians planning to come down for the game, too.

'It's the biggest thing that's ever happened to club rugby league in Wales. The Broncos have already indicated to us that they will be bringing a very strong side to play us and they will be looking to us to give them a good game.'

Tickets for Celtic Crusaders v Brisbane Broncos are pounds 10 (half-price for 2007 season ticket holders and concessions).

They are available online from the Celtic Crusaders website at or for further information ring 01656 658535.
