Big debate to help you decide.

The September 10 summit will kick off at 6.30pm with an introduction from Evening Gazette editor Steve Dyson.

He will then introduce Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, who will address the audience on the Government's reason for holding the referendum.

The Conservative shadow minister will then be invited to make a short address, before the debate opens up with questions from the audience to be answered by both politicians and members of the 'Yes and 'No' campaigns. The debate will be chaired by Tyne Tees political editor Gerry Foley.

The summit will be covered on that night's Tyne Tees news, with the station using fuller extracts from the debate in programmes planned for the run-up to the November 4 referendum debate.

Other TV and radio news programmes and regional and national media will also be invited along.
