Big Chill taps global IT firm to support expansion plans.
Food and beverage retailer Big Chill Inc. has tapped the services of a global software company to support its growth and expansion plans in the country.
Big Chill chief operating consultant Rusty Lemon said the company has partnered with United States-based NetSuite Inc., a provider of cloud-based commerce software suites, to support the company's growth and expansion plans.
A growing food and beverage retailer with 60 shops in Manila, Big Chill has just recently acquired the local cake retailer Cheesecake Etc. and a new snack bar brand Fresh Bar.
Moving forward, the company is now gearing up for a "planned expansion program."
"The retail business is ever-changing and to maintain a competitive edge, we need an efficient, scalable unified system to run our entire operations," Lemon said in a briefing held in Makati.
Under the partnership with NetSuite, the retail chain expects that it will have a better management of its mission-critical business processes, including financials, inventory management, fixed asset management, order management, procure-to-pay and warehousing.
"NetSuite gives us a pathway to take the business to the next level. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet our ambitious strategic objectives for rapid growth," Lemon further said.
According to him, Big Chill expects this modernization effort to give them the business agility, visibility, flexibility and scalability that cannot be found in its previous on-premise system to support its business growth and expansion.
Acquired in 2011, Big Chill is a subsidiary of publicly listed diversifying firm AgriNurture.
AgriNurture is a grower and exporter of fresh fruit and vegetables, and processed agricultural food products. AgriNurture's family of brands across the Philippines includes FCA [Fresh Choice Always] for fresh and processed wellness food products; La Natural for coconut juice and Nikka for mango nectar and tamarind juices; Superfresh and Big Chill for fresh fruit beverages and the Cafeteria Verde healthy fast-food chain.
Today, more than 20,000 companies and institutions over the world have already availed NetSuite's services to run complex, mission-critical business processes globally in the cloud.
Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise-class cloud financials/ERP suites for divisions of large enterprises and mid-sized organizations seeking to upgrade their information technology systems.
