Byline: PIERS EADY reporters@dailyrecord.co.uk

JUSTIN Bieber is expected to be charged today with an assault on a limo driver.

The Boyfriend singer, 19, will surrender to police and be given notice to appear in court over the alleged attack in Toronto, Canada.

Officers were called after Bieber had been to a Toronto Maple Leafs ice hockey game on December 29.

Police confirmed they were investigating an assault claim but it was unclear whether the allegation was against the Canadian star or a member of his entourage.

It comes after the troubled star was arrested in Miami, US, and charged with driving under the influence and resisting arrest. His lawyer is understood to have entered a written not guilty plea.

Bieber's spokesman could not be reached for comment last night.
