Bid to identify body in hunt for teenager.

Police investigating the disappearance of a teenager are trying to identify a body found in his home town.

Dale Crole, 18, vanished from his home in Porthcawl in September after telling his mum he was going to see a friend.

Last month, South Wales Police's major crime unit took over the search, appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

As part of their investigation, officers searching an area of the seaside town on Friday morning found a body in a disused warehouse near the Coney Beach funfair.

A Home Office post-mortem examination was due to be conducted on Saturday, but police said due to the length of time the body appears to have been in the warehouse, they have not been able to confirm the person's identity.
