Bhutan : BTCL kayo Bhutan Telecom.

It was a match that Bhutan Telecom thought they would win for sure; but there were surprise. As the tournament favourites was shown the exit by BTCL who won the game by 47 runs on Sunday and booked a palce in the finals of the ongoing BCCB super league cricket tournament.

BTCL elected to bat first after winning the toss. Openers Tandin and Ugyen put up 17 runs for the first wicket, before Ugyen was bowled by BT S opening bowler Tandin. Next batsman Tshering Tashi was trapped LBW in Tandin s very next over.

However, BTCL s opening batsman Tandin continued with some straight drives and cut shots. He was well supported by Phuntsho on the other side, adding 21 runs before he was bowled by Jigme Singye. Wicket keeper batsman Thinley made a short stay in the centre, when he was stumped in Jigme s over.

The most consistent batsman and team captain Phuntsho was brilliantly run out by Dechen Wangchuk; while; on the other side; opening batsman Tandin picked up his second fifty of the tournament. BTCL was in all sorts of trouble before Barun came in and hit a four and three consecutive sixers in Tandin s ninth over to take his team s score to 181.
