Bhajji's special invite to PM for his reception.
By Manjeet Sehgal in Chandigarh SPINNER Harbhajan Singh on Saturday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and invited him for his wedding reception which will take place in the Capital on November 1.
Sources said Bhajji also presented his wedding card to the Prime Minister. The photos released by the Press Information Bureau showed Bhajji holding the card. It is not known whether the PM will attend the wedding reception or not.
Bhajji and his longtime girlfriend Geeta Basra will get married on Oct 29 near Jalandhar Punjab.
The family has booked Hotel Club Cabana on Phagwara road which is located at a distance of 20 kms from Bhajji's hometown Jalandhar.
Meanwhile, after the wedding card, now the cocktail party invite is in the news and is being shared on the social media.
The soon to be married couple is hosting an exclusive Bollywood- themed bash at the Delhi Chhatarpur farmhouse on October 31. The exclusive invite to the party has been created by a Delhi- based design house.
" The card, which is in the shape of clapboard, has the names of the couple with details about the party on one side and embossed posters of yesteryear classics on the other side. Harbhajan and Geeta wanted a Bollywood theme for the party and a filmy- style card as well," a spokesperson representing the design house said.
The spokesperson said that the party will be featuring some of the biggest names in the world of Bollywood and Cricket with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Rahul Gandhi, Nita and Mukesh Ambani likely to be on the guest list.
The wedding card of Geeta- Bhajji's marriage have already hogged limelight and have gone viral on social networking websites.
The red wedding cards have first letters of Harbhajan and Geeta's names in golden ink.
Besides the invitation card, the guests are also being given an admit card which is mandatory to enter the venue. Sources say the cards have been sent to a limited number of guests.
South African team is also expected to attend the reception ceremony in New Delhi.
Bhajji and Geeta will tie the knot on October 29 and their wedding reception is scheduled for November 1
