Beyonce has admitted her video for Countdown was inspired by another artist's work.

Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has accused the singer of plagiarism, after being 'struck' by the similarities between the music video and Anne's Rosas danst Rosas.

The dance company is currently looking into launching legal proceedings against Beyonce.

Beyonce has responded to the criticism, saying Rosas danst Rosas was one of many references for her music video.

She also stated that the Audrey Hepburn movie Funny Face, Brigitte Bardot, Andy Warhol and Diana Ross also inspired her.

Beyonce also said she hopes her video will bring new fans to the original work.
