Beverly Prokowiew.

LANCASTER - Beverly Ann (Baker) Prokowiew, 77, formerly of Sudbury, passed away on Sunday, May 13, after a brief illness. She was the wife of Walter Prokowiew, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

She is survived by 11 children and their spouses, Renee and Paul Cormier of Athol, Sandra and Ralph Parrow of Foxboro, Walter and Theresa Prokowiew of Lunenburg, Marlene and Stephen Gillespie of Kingston, N.H., Pamela and Steven Dennis of Northboro, Sharon and Bob Flanigan of North Brookfield, Brenda and Stanley Pasquale of Cambridge, Mark and Karen Prokowiew of Shirley, David and Jennifer Prokowiew of Lunenburg, Chantel Prokowiew of Lancaster and Jason Prokowiew of Andover; 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Linda Sue Prokowiew and Valentina Prokowiew, and two granddaughters, Valerie Janes and Lisa Cormier.

Mrs. Prokowiew was born in Chicago, Ill., to the late John and Susan (Wypsik) Baker. She held membership at the Immaculate Conception Church in Lancaster.

She took pleasure in gardening, card games, Scrabble, sweets, music and the ocean.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18, from the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 809 Main St., Lancaster. Burial will follow in Shirley Center Cemetery.
