Better visibility for drivers.

Brant is making improvements to the intersection of Court Drive and Edith Street in Paris to improve visibility.

A driver had complained that it was difficult to see vehicles from Edith Street around the curve on Court Drive.

Rick Knap, Roads Technologist, wrote in an Oct. 7 report to the Public Works Committee that parking changes would help the situation.

He recommended that vehicles be prohibited from stopping on the west side of Court Drive for 60 metres north and south of Edith Street; and for 25 metres north and 15 metres south of Edith Street on the east side of Court Drive.

Parking in the same restricted areas was also prohibited.

A stop bar will be painted on Edith Street at Court Drive to show drivers where to stop without extending into the intersection.

Council approved the report at its Oct. 21 meeting.
