Best-selling writer calls up for chat.

BEST-SELLING author Katie Fforde has joined a unique Birmingham book group to discuss her latest novel with a party of pensioners.

Romantic novelist Ms Fforde dialled into Birmingham Libraries at Home's monthly tele-book club this yesterdayto chat about her latest novel 'Love Letters' with the elderly fans. The Library at Home Service delivers books to elderly and housebound people across the city and the tele-book club allows them to call up to discuss the latest book releases.

Every month, the Library at Home Service provides more than 2,000 members with reading material directly to their door.

Participants of the tele-book group range from readers in their 70s to one participant aged over 100.
