Best laughs in the North East.
Details on where the best laughs are over the next seven days
It could be standing room only at this Sunday's Laughing Gas Comedy Club at the Magnesia Bank in North Shields.
Anyone who saw Gavin Webster perform there over the festive will know what a treat is in store.
A local lad, Gavin has a unique brand of humour - to give too much away could spoil it for the uninitiated.
Suffice to say, the Newcastle stand-up is a confident, experienced Geordie not afraid to take risks with controversial material and off-the-wall ideas.
Gavin's material switches from friendly pub philosopher to ranting rabble rouser with sharp one-liners and lively observations. He's also prone to whipping out his ukulele for some original songs.
Take for instance Student Blues, which includes the line `I woke up this morning, made myself some egg, hummous, pasta and milk'!
His TV and radio appearances include Channel 4's 11 O'Clock Show, Tyne Tees' East Coast Mainline, The Morning Show, The Late Show and The Score.
Double act Matthew Reed and Faron and Steve Drayton complete the line-up this Sunday.
Doors open 8pm, acts start 8.30pm. Admission is pounds 5.
