Best from around the world.

Dubai: Located inside Jumeirah Park Pavilion in the posh Emirates Hills, the newly opened Chez Amy's is a delightful all day dining concept with a chic interior and a stylized menu influenced by various cuisines from around the world.

So first up was a platter of their delicate looking Vietnamese Wraps (Dh40) made of marinated tofu, reed thin vermicelli noodles, healthy cucumbers, carrots, mint, coriander and sesame all packed in a rice paper and served with a unique peanut tamarind dip. You will wonder if its paper or plastic but you will know it's a humble rice paper when you bite into the cold, glassy looking wraps. More healthy bites came along in the form of an exotic looking Vegan Quinoa Salad (Dh40) next. A platter full of iceberg quinoa tossed with red kidney and edamame beans and topped with generous doses of pomegranate sunflower and pumpkin seeds besides shallots, chili and parsley, it's a salad made to perfection - healthwise and tastewise thanks to its wondrous citrus vinaigrette, balsamic and honey dressing.

If you are a vegan you must of course try their Portobello Burger (Dh45). Slightly more sinful but a delightfully grand affair nonetheless, its made of a giant Portobello mushroom grilled and stuffed between two organic multigrain buns with rocket leaves, garlic mayonnaise, red onion marmalade, gherkins and some mouthwatering molten gruyere cheese.

The best however was their Lemongrass chicken Breast (Dh55), a platter of a Thai herb marinated chicken breast served with a very sumptuous Thai green curry sauce and Asian vegetables including my favourite egg plants. Mildly hot, you will love the dish not just for its overall taste but the subtle aroma as well.

A visit to Chez Amy's though is never complete without a bite of their special Pit-fire sausage Pizza (Dh65). Made with a topping of homemade beef sausage in a spicy curried tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes , jalapenos and a generous filling of mozzarella on a thin fresh baked crust, it's an extraordinary slice of pizza. End it with your choice of desserts from their fabulous range of cakes and pastries and you will want to come back once more.
