Best Buy Selects Visual Circuits' Firefly MC as Standard Network Digital Media Appliance.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Over 1,000 Firefly MCs Deployed to Facilitate Satellite-Driven Content Distribution and Device Management and Control

Visual Circuits, recently acquired by FOCUS Enhancements, (Nasdaq:FCSE), today announced that Best Buy has selected the Firefly MC network digital media player as the standard appliance in supporting their in-store digital media strategy. To date, Best Buy has deployed over 1,000 Firefly MC (multi-channel) digital media players. Ongoing orders of the new players will be integrated into Best Buy's wide and local area networks to facilitate satellite-driven content distribution and device management and control. The upgraded store infrastructure will be used to communicate with and engage customers on a very personal and localized basis.

Anthony Rijken, manager of Interactive Display Design for Best Buy, comments, "Best Buy's unique service focuses heavily on the customer's needs. Digital media is an important part of our communication strategy and we required a solution that could scale to our needs. We selected Firefly MC early on because of its per channel playback value, reliability and flexibility. By integrating Firefly onto our network, we have the ability to customize information for specific consumer demographics with product content and educational information that is relevant to them."

The Firefly MC allows Best Buy to invest in two channels of media playback at initial deployment with the ability to instantaneously expand to four channels when needed through a simple upgrade. Firefly MC's smartcard functionality facilitates immediate and easy field upgrades, and provides strong field support by storing all system configuration and network settings.

"There's no doubt we remain excited about our relationship with Best Buy," quotes David Parish, EVP of Business Development for FOCUS. "They continually challenge us to match their retailing leadership and innovation with new features and products. Over the years, our experience and history with Best Buy has helped make our organization the market leader that it is."
