Berths for Asian GP to be decided.

THE Indian team for the upcoming First Asian Grand Prix will be selected over the next two days at the first National Ranking Archery Tournament ( NRAT), to be held at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium.

The top archers in the country will be competing for spots for the tournament to be held in Bangkok from March 10- 16.

The junior and sub- junior archers were in action over the last four days. Though there are no immediate events lined up for the colts, all eyes will be on the Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, in August.

Meanwhile, the final decision on hiring American compound coach Dee Wilde is expected to be taken by February 25.

The issue has been hanging fire for a long time, and the Archery Association of India ( I) is keen to have him for a few sessions before the Asian Games in September- October.
