Bernard Matthews selects Hornbill's Supportworks.

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-13 June 2007-Bernard Matthews selects Hornbill's Supportworks(C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Supportworks from Hornbill Systems, a provider of Service Management solutions, has been selected by Bernard Matthews, a UK producer of turkeys and turkey products, for its IT service desk.

Bernard Matthews purchased the Supportworks business process workflow engine, Visual Process Configuration Manager (VPME) and Supportworks Enterprise Support Platform (ESP). This enables the solution to be further developed and integrated with other business systems and for additional service functions to be delivered in-house in the future.

The company went live with the first phase of the project recently, replacing a support application developed in-house, and enabling the IT team to support the Bernard Matthews Group more easily. Bernard Matthews said Supportworks allows it to track all work completed by the department, to include work from the development, infrastructure and server teams, ensuring an improved, more cost-efficient service.

The company's IT department benefits from visibility of all work completed within the department, along with increased control over calls assigned externally to third party maintenance contracts, SLAs and call escalations.
