Ber wick to thw ar t weak ened rivals; sports play of the day.
Lay Stranraer (v Berwick) BERWICK have been gradually improving under the management of Sandy Clark and can further help their cause of avoiding relegation by getting a result against Stranraer, writes Stuart Carruthers. The Wee Rangers currently lie bottom of Scottish Division Two but they have won their last two matches, including a 2-1 win over leaders Brechin at Shelifield Park.
Stranraer could be laid at 2.58 last night and that looks worth doing as theThe Blues have lost their way recently. Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Morton was the sixth times in eight games that Neil Watt's side have failed to win and they haven't been helped by a host of injuries and losing their best player, Davie Graham, to Gretna.
The two games between the sides this season have both been tightly contested affairs with the first game ending 2-2 and Stranraer edging the second 1-0, but they had home advantage for both matches.
Berwick are usually a difficult side to beat at home and although this campaign they have lost more than normal, most of their recent good performances have come in the Borders.
