The blessing and celebration of marriage of Molly Ann Benoist and Samuel Cole Eaton took place at six o'clock in the evening on April 4, 2009, at Paris-Yates Chapel on the campus of the University of Mississippi.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Wanda Adams Purser of Madison and Mr. Max Edwin Benoist Jr. of Ridgeland. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Fredic Adams and Mrs. Max Edwin Benoist and the late Mr. Max Edwin Benoist.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Edward Eaton III of Oxford and grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dugger Leon Cole and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Roy Beem and the late Mr. Barney Edward Eaton Jr.

Dr. Bill Hardin officiated the ceremony. Organist Jason Derrick presented nuptial music. Mrs. Amelia Purser Bailey delivered Bible readings during the ceremony. Mrs. Drew Franklin Collins Jr. served as coordinator.

Given in marriage by her mother, Molly wore a strapless gown of ivory Alencon lace over champagne satin. Her fitted bodice was complemented by a basque waistline and chapel-length train and featured a scalloped lace neckline and hemline. Her waist was accented with a champagne satin sash. She chose a cathedral-length silk illusion veil and carried a hand-tied bouquet of Sweet Alton and Pascali roses with accents of white snapdragons and stock.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Carrie Leigh Benoist, sister of bride, and Virginia Sudduth Cavender served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Amelia Purser Bailey, sister of the bride; Taylor Phillips Beard; Paula Godfrey Eaton; Kathryn Carlisle Hollis; Laurie Occhipinti Johnson; Anne Kendall Ketchum; Ferriday Mansel McClatchy; Meredith Loving Manship; Shannon McCain Blakely; Louise Callaway McMillin; Sarah Elaine Markham; Kathryn Miller Simmons; and Whitney Carmichael Veazey.


The groom's brother, Barney Edward Eaton IV, served as best man. Groomsman included Maury Brickell Breazeale, Leslie Taylor Burwell, Jonathan Gordon Daniel, Harry Case Embry, Walter Michael Harkins, Mark Tredway Hodges, Edward Foster Kennedy III, Logan Butch Phillips III, Adam Clark Quick, Dallas Percy Quinn, Stephen Leslie Smith, Adam Haley Sowell, and John Hunter Summerford.

Wyatt Godfrey Eaton, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.

Following the ceremony, the wedding party departed by double-decker bus and joined guests at an elegant reception at The Inn at Ole Miss, where everyone was entertained by the music of Bruce Brewer and Friends.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Oxford University Club.

After returning from a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple is at home in Madison.
