Ben Heppner. (Artists on Stage).

After a 14-month absence from the opera stage tenor Ben Heppner has returned to a full operatic schedule, beginning with the role of Enee in Berlioz's Les Troyens at the Metropolitan Opera in February and March. (Heppner performs this role on the LSO Live recording that won the 2002 Gramophone Award for Best Opera Recording). Other operatic roles this year include Tristan at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin (Apr.) and the Met (Oct.), Florestan in Fidelic in Munich (July) and Walther in Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg in Paris (Nov.)
