Belgium raises EUR 1.07bn with one-year bond.

(SeeNews) - Jul 13, 2011 - The Belgian government raised EUR 1.07 billion (USD 1.51bn) with a one-year bond, the Belgian State Debt agency said.

The average interest rate on the issue of 1.884% is the highest in the last 30 months, according to observers. On the previous comparable issue the interest rate stood at 1.625%.

In addition, the government raised EUR 1.65 billion with notes maturing in three months. The average interest rate on the issue amounted to 1.307%.

The total money raised with the two offerings met the targeted EUR 2.7 billion-EUR 3.2 billion range.
