Belgium Glass Excels in CeramicTile Market.
Founded in 1993, Belgium Glass and Ceramics Ltd. has its ceramic frits and glaze manufacturing factory in the city of Vadodara in Gujarat. Once inkjet printing started making headway in ceramic tile decoration, Belgium Glass quickly developed leading pigmented ink technology for the market.
"With the advent of the digital printing machines in the ceramic industry in the early 2009 and Belgium Glass being a major supplier to the ceramic tiles industry, we started focusing on the ceramic digital printing market and forayed in to the ceramic digital inkjet inks manufacturing in 2010-11," said B. M. Vachhani of Belgium Glass and Ceramics Ltd.
In addition to having the capabilities for manufacturing spot colors, Belgium Glass offers 11 base colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow (Lemon),Yellow (Mango), Black, Cobalt Blue, Aqua Green, Brown, Beige, Luster Ink (Special Effect), Super White and Reactive Inks.
Vachhani said that having its own R&D center is one major differentiator that separates Belgium Glass from its competitors.
"Belgium Glass having our own R&D center equipped with huge infrastructure for inkjet inks machinery manufacturing capabilities due to the in-house huge workshop with a battery of around 22 CNC machines and some 30 to 40 conventional workshop machines helps differentiate Belgium Glass from its competitors and give a leading edge over the competition," he observed. "Belgium Glass has already installed 12 ceramic-lined ZETA nano grinding mill plants."
Belgium Glass prides itself on its innovation and service. "Belgium Glass has put huge emphasis on innovations in the field of digital inks and digital printers and has applied for some patents also in the related field," Vachhani reported. "Belgium Glass is very service-oriented company and has a huge team of service managers, service engineers and technicians readily available at the service of their esteemed customers."
Vachhani noted that Belgium Glass is leveraging its technology into the packaging market. The most recent advances of Belgium Glass are in the development of a web-based digital printing machine for which several patents have been applied for, and Belgium Glass is also developing high quality nano technology digital inkjet inks for the packaging and labeling industry.
"Belgium Glass has its main focus in the ceramic inkjet inks market, and is now gradually shifting its focus and working in the development of ECO water-based digital inkjet inks for the packaging industry," said Vachhani. "In the last few years, Belgium Glass is involved in the development of large scale digital inkjet printers for the packaging and labeling industry."
Vachhani said that Belgium Glass is ideally positioned to grow in the coming years.
"With our new developments, innovation in the web-based digital printing machine and nano digital inkjet inks for the packaging and labeling industry, Belgium Glass has a very bright outlook for its future," Vachhani concluded.
