BEJA, (TAP) - The snowfall and rainfall recorded over the week-end in all regions of the governorate of Beja helped to cover 50% of the rain deficit in Teboursouk and 7% in Nefza, compared with averages recorded in the region over the same period.

Agriculture commissioner in Beja Ali Melki told TAP more than 30 mm of rainfall was recorded in Nefza and 70 mm in Amdoun restoring hope in the growing season, knowing that the lack of rainfall started to be felt in some regions, such as Gueboullat and Testour.

Melki said the amounts of water in wadis and dams will remain at average levels if rain keeps falling at the same pace in the upcoming days.
