The colloquium is designed to help doctoral students in Mediterranean archaeology and Greek and Roman studies towards the end of their research grapple with particular problems they are having. The topic for the 2003 meeting was the third-century BC poet Apollonius Rhodius, who wrote the epic Argonautica, and a number of works preserved only in fragments. Four of the eight essays are in German. Distributed in the US by the David Brown Book Company.
