Beggar's shotdead over 20c.

Byline: By MIRROR REPORTER

A WOMAN has been charged with murder for shooting a beggar who asked for 20c to buy food.

Geraldine Beasley, 62, shot homeless Donald Francis, 44, after he asked for the money at a petrol station.

Beasley had complained about Francis to someone else and when he approached her she became annoyed and shot him, police said.

Francis was wellknown at the petrol station in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Police chief Tom Streicher said: "He asked her for a quarter 20c. That's apparently all it was."

Beasley has been charged with murder and detained in lieu of EUR400,000.

Her attorney said she was "someone who was generally a friend to the homeless".
