Beer keg attack.

A KEG of beer was launched at a bus as it drove along.

The heavy missile struck the front end of a bus as it travelled along Easedale Gardens, near the junction with Waverley Road in Gateshead.

The driver suffered whiplash and there was damage to the bus in the incident at around 9.40am on December 22.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Police are appealing for information after a large keg was thrown at a bus.

"It is thought the keg was thrown over a nearby hedge."
