Bedwas foil the Ravens; Bedwas 36 25 Bridgend.

FULL-BACK Stuart Thomas kicked 21 points as Bedwas gained only their second league win of the season.

The Ravens, 16-3 down at half-time hit back strongly in the eight minutes of stoppage time, but were foiled in their bid for a loser's bonus point.

Each side scored three tries, but Bedwas were full value for their win.

Bridgend errors were emphasised as home scrum-half James Pizey burst clear for his try just before the interval.

This was Bridgend's third successive away defeat and they made hard work for themselves in the second half. Bedwas added 10 points for a 36-13 lead when Ravens prop Owen Williams was in the sin-bin.

The redeeming feature for Bridgend was a promising debut for full-back Dean Thomas from Tondu.
