Become a Sport Maker.
Inspired by the Games and their values, Sport Makers in Kirklees will be part of an army of 40,000 Sport Makers nationally who will help to create new opportunities for lots more people to play sport.
Sport Makers choose which sports to be involved with and who they want to make sport happen for - friends, colleagues, neighbours or the local community. The whole programme encourages people to become the sort of sporting hero that makes a difference to the lives of other people - and have a good time doing it. Sport Makers need to log a minimum of 10 hours of activity In Kirklees the next Sport Makers workshops take place from 6-9pm on May 16 at Dewsbury RAMS, June 19 at Outlane Cricket Club, July 3 at the Galpharm Stadium, July 10 at Batley Town Hall.
Becoming a Sport Maker is easy and the programme is open to everyone aged 16 and over. Sign up at http://www.sportmakers.co.uk/or contact Ashley Lucas at Kirklees Sports Development Team on 01484 234093 or email Ashley.firstname.lastname@example.org.
