Becks better off out.

Byline: Nigel MARTYN

MUCH has been made about David Beckham's exclusion from Fabio Capello's first England squad but I'm struggling to see what all the fuss is about.

The FA, after all, have appointed a new manager and they will want this game against Switzerland to be all about Capello.

Had Beckham been selected, all of a sudden you create a circus and the limelight is split.

I've no doubt that Beckham will reach 100 caps as there are plenty of games for Capello to have a look at him in.

First things first, though, the FA want their man to get his reign off to the perfect start and they should get the comfortable win that everyone craves.
