Beckham 'fan' faces jail over mail theft.

AN obsessed Scot faces prison for stalking footballer David Beckham.

Ex-escort girl Chinyelu Obue, 37, made a 230-mile taxi trip from Edinburgh to the Cheshire apartment the England captain shares with his pop star wife Victoria.

There she stole 12 letters before fleeing without paying the pounds 300 fare, Macclesfield Magistrates Court heard yesterday.

At the time the celebrity couple were 200 miles away at their mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.

Obue was warned by police last February for bombarding Beckham, 25, with love letters, raunchy photos and a G-string in his club Manchester United's colours.

But on June 30 she told cabbie William Scott she was "going to meet a friend" at the Alderley Edge flat and that he would settle the bill.

After she fled the scene she was arrested and held in hospital under the Mental Health Act.

In court yesterday Obue admitted stealing the letters and deception.

She will be sentenced on November 29 after medical reports are considered.
