Beavers take two honors.

Byline: The Register-Guard

A pair of Oregon State freshmen, quarterback Sean Mannion and defensive end Scott Crichton, were named players of the week by the Pac-12 on Monday.

Both Beavers played significant roles in a 44-21 win over Washington State in Seattle. Mannion passed for 376 yards and four touchdowns, keeping him on pace to set a school record for passing yards by a freshman.

Crichton had seven tackles, including two for lost yardage, a category he leads the Pac-12 in with 10. Crichton also broke up a pass and was credited with forcing two fumbles.

The special teams honoree was Arizona kicker John Bonano, who made six PATs and two field goals in a win over UCLA.

The Beavers learned Monday that the Nov. 5 home game against Stanford will be televised by ABC, with a 12:30 p.m. kickoff. The other Nov. 5 games selected for telecasts are Arizona State at UCLA, on Versus at 4:30 p.m., and Oregon at Washington, on FSN at 7:30 p.m.
