Bears youngsters show their worth to county; JUNIOR SPORT.

A RECORD 17 Coventry Bears players have been selected for this season's Warwickshire youth squads after catching the eye in the recent four-day district cricket festival.

Coventry District Board Chairman John Askew hailed the achievement, saying: "I am absolutely delighted to see so many Coventry players gaining county selection.

"The coaching staff lead by Karl Bowes have put so much time and effort into the player development path locally and it is proof that the selection process and coaching methods Coventry now employ are really working, I am so proud of the players'.

The Coventry youngsters called up are: under-10 Kieran Holland; under-11 B Jamie Nicolson; under-12 Charlie Adams; under-13 A Arjun Bath, Jamie O'Hara; under-13 B Harvey Burke, Robert Griffiths, Matthew Blaylock, Aksa Zaman- Khan.; under-14 Matthew Naylor; under-15 A Jake Salmon, Raiza Jabarkheil; under-15 B Sunjay Sharma, Matthew Payne, Matthew Kettley, Matthew Seddon,Charlie Hargreaves.
