Beadle left fuming after County lose to own goal; Newport County 0 Havant & Waterlooville 1.

COUNTY can feel harshly treated after completely dominating their home game last night, only to suffer defeat to a 21st-minute own goal from Paul Cochlin.

In the 78th minute a Jermaine Clarke effort crossed the line, but a goal was not awarded and, when play continued, the referee Simon Knap awarded a free-kick to the visitors.

County boss Peter Beadle was understandably furious, "We have been harshly treated and you just ask for consistency.

"Even if you didn't give the goal, it was a penalty because Jermaine was flattened."

The Havant goal enjoyed a charmed life throughout, with County managing 19 goal attempts and, with steadier finishing, could have scored a hatful.

But County now have to start again with another vital clash at Braintree on Saturday.
