Be a good listener to learn English: Raynold.

Raynold Ittoop, an English language instructor at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz University, has urged young men and women to develop a hungry appetite for reading in order to improve their communication skills, which are indispensable for personal growth, especially in business.

During a ceremony marking the end of an English language training course, he advised his students that increasing their vocabulary would enable them to grasp English more easily.

Ittoop highlighted the importance of learning English. "Be a good listener and absorb different modes of modern terminologies," he said.

The course was organized by Youth India's Jeddah South Zone Chapter, an offshoot of Thanima, a cultural organization of Indian expatriates in the Kingdom.

Mohan Balan, the guest of honor, said: "Ample reading and watching news channels will add momentum to mastering the English language." Ittoop presented a memento to Balan in appreciation of his determined efforts in teaching English to expatriates and for other community services.

Ittoop also honored Abdul Kabeer Kalikavu during the ceremony for his outstanding performance throughout the course. Certificates for attendees of the course were also distributed during the ceremony.
