Battling Bluebirds all set for a tearful time on the Toon; WINNINGLINEWITH IAN CARBIS THE BEST BETS AND AND THE BEST ODDS FOR THE SPORTING WEEKEND.

TODAY could be Cardiff City's last hurrah in the Premier League, and there may be some tears at Newcastle.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side need a victory at St James' Park just to give themselves a fighting chance of avoiding relegation against Chelsea next week.

But, judging by their last display at Sunderland, even a woefully out-ofform Newcastle could prove too good for them.

The key could be the first goal, and Loic Remy looks a good bet for the home side at 4/1. Jordon Mutch (12/1) may be worth a look for Cardiff, but the evens on a Newcastle win is still a bit generous.

Swansea and Southampton should enjoy a low-pressure match in the sun, with both teams safe for another Premier campaign.

Last season's encounter finished 0-0, but it's hard to see that happening again, so we'll stick our neck out at 28/1 for a 3-2 home win, with Wilfried Bony (9/2) and Adam Lallana (8/1) the stand-out first/last prices.

Newport welcome League Two promoted Rochdale in their final game of the campaign, and it's diffi-cult not to see 'Dale winning, with 13/2 available for a 1-0 win.
