Batson Enterprises has introduced several new angles in rod components. Advances in ALPS reel seats, for instance, include a line of graphite-filled nylon and chopped Toray carbon fiber products-stronger, lighter and ultra-sensitive. The latest reel seat design exposes the pass-thru blank for direct contact of the blank to the angler's forefinger. This transmits vibrations before you see your rod bend. Another innovation is tangle-free eyelet 1 tips--the weld is moved under the eyelet, allowing braid to freely slide off the tip. Guides are available in high grade titanium alloy that is 40 percent lighter and stronger than 316 SST. Various grades of SST are still available with variable levels of carbon content to match the builders' custom needs. For more, see www.batsonenterprises.com.
