Bataan bishop denies soliciting money in Ukraine.

Balanga City, Bataan -- Bishop Ruperto C. Santos vehemently denied yesterday soliciting financial assistance while "being in trouble in Kiev, Ukraine."

In a statement sent to this writer, Bishop Santos said "Please disregard the email received from this account requesting for urgent financial assistance. I haven't traveled abroad particularly to visit Kiev, Ukraine this year."

A highly respected Roman Catholic leader, the Balanga Bishop further said "Someone just hacked into my account and sent the email."

"I cannot track to whom the email was sent so please inform our friends and colleagues that I am very well safe here in the Philippines," added the Bishop.

According to the email sent to various people, including this writer, it said that the Bishop was "contacting you as I need your urgent financial assistance, My family and I had a trip visiting to Kiev, Ukraine some days back for a short vacation."
