Basit Ali praises PCB for 'extraordinary' development of Pak women cricket.

Islamabad, Apr 11 ( ANI ): Former Pakistan Test batsman Basit Ali has commended the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) efforts towards the development of women's cricket in the country, saying that the board has gone to extraordinary lengths for the upliftment of the game.

According to Ali, the present regime of the PCB led by Mohammad Zaka Ashraf has done a lot to set new bench marks to promote women's cricket in the country, adding that game had gained rapid success in recent years, the Daily Times reports.

Stating that significant improvement has been seen in the performance of Pakistan women's cricket team at the international level, Ali said that the steps being taken by Ashraf for the further upliftment of women's cricket will produce long term results as players are being groomed with the help of experienced coaches.

Ali also said that a comprehensive activity plan by the PCB further polishes the skills of the players, adding that he is confident that in years to come, the Pakistan women cricket team will emerge as a force to be reckoned with even at the international level. ( ANI )
