Barton Beers renews Corona

Barton Beers Ltd., importer of Corona Extra and Corona Light, announced a new long-term agreement with the beers' brewer, Mexico's Cerveceria Modelo, SA de CV, extending their association which began in 1976.

Barton will continue the distribution and marketing rights for Corona Extra, Corona Light, Modelo Especial and Negra Modelo in 25 western states.

"The contract extension is positive for Cerveceria Modelo, Barton, our wholesalers and the Modelo brands because it ensures continuity of the programs and strategies which have been successful over the years," said Mike Mazzoni, executive vice president and general manager, Barton Beers. "We have enjoyed tremendous growth and our new agreement is the basis for continued success in the future."
