Barker takes Brummies to the max!
It was the rst time this season that the Selco Brummies had taken maximum points from a meeting, and it took a terric eort from Barker in the last race to get the better of former team-mate Bjarne Pedersen.

Although visiting No.1 Pedersen won the opening race and guest Steve Worrall also took a surprise early success, the Brummies were managing advantages to go alongside their own heat wins.
Two 5-1s in Heats 5 and 6 saw them take full control of the meeting and although Cameron Woodward took Heat 7 for double points, Nico Covatti and Simon Lambert packed in for the minor places.
A superb maximum followed with Barker and Daniel Nermark getting the better of Timo Lahti in a frantic three-rider scrap in Heat 8, and skipper Danny King scythed his way to the front two races later.
"e Eagles lost Finnish star Joonas Kylmakorpi with a knee injury after a rst-ride crash, but that didn't stop them mounting a recovery from 15 points down, as Pedersen won Heat 11 when going for double.
Covatti and Paul Starke looked to have made made things safe in Heat 12 but a shock 5-1 from Woodward and Lewis Blackbird in the penultimate race ensured a nervous nale as the Eagles could still snatch a league point.
When Pedersen and Woodward hit the front the visitors looked set to do just that - but Barker got past both in a spectacular eort, diving inside the Dane going into the last bend for the 3-3 the Brummies needed.
