Global Banking News - 11 December 2013

According to Barclays Plc (LSE: BARC), the central bank of Philippines is unlikely to change its interest rates.

The British bank said that the central bank was unlikely to change interest rates in December. The bank's decision will be affected by inflation caused by the typhoon that the nation suffered this year.

The central bank has kept its borrowing rate at 3.5 percent and the lending rate at 5.5 per cent since the beginning of this year.
