Barbara Farrell.

STERLING -- Barbara Farrell, 80, formerly of Acton, Lancaster and Northboro, died Friday, April 24, at the Emerson Hospital in Concord.

She was the wife of the late Richard N. Farrell, a retired Stow police officer, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of marriage.

Mrs. Farrell was born in Concord and raised in Acton. She was a graduate of Acton High School.

She is survived by her children, Jeanne H. Morin and husband, Richard, of Newfield, Maine, Patricia Farrell and her companion, Mary Draper, of Billerica, Kevin Farrell of Stow, Richard Farrell Jr. and his longtime companion, Kelley Harrington, of Worcester, and Joanne Farrell of Sterling and her companion, Michael Meissner, of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Elizabeth Mariano of Berlin.

Mrs. Farrell was predeceased by her husband, Richard, a son, Peter Farrell, as well as a brother, Ralph Davis, and a sister, Marion Davis Browning.

Services are private.
