Baranwal retires after 44 years.
Krishna C. Baranwal, executive vice president, technical, for Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, retired June 1, after 12 years with the company and 44 years in the rubber industry.Before joining ARDL, Baranwal worked for Uniroyal Goodrich Tire, where he was director of tire research and tire testing. He holds four U.S. patents, has contributed to 37 publications, co-edited two books on rubber science and technology, and has been editor of The Rubber Chemistry and Technology Journal for the past five years. He currently serves as the chair for the Science & Technology Awards Committee for the Rubber Division, ACS, and has offered many courses and seminars on rubber science and technology sponsored by the Rubber Division.
Honors received during Baranwal's career include the Distinguished Service Award by the Rubber Division, ACS, and the Distinguished Award of Council from the Akron Council of Engineering and Scientific Societies.
