Bacolod City - The former college of law dean of the University of Saint La Salle (USLS) said he had the gut feeling his student Mark John Simondo will top this year's Bar exam.
Ralph Sarmiento belongs to the pioneer batch of the USLS college of law and was also a Bar topnotcher. He said early on he had perceived Simondo's potential.
He was one of the firsts to post an online poster to congratulate Simondo for his achievement. During a press conference Thursday night, Sarmiento said the layout was ready a few days before the Bar results were released.
"My gut tells me that Mark will top the exam," Sarmiento said. "His photo was already ready to be posted at about 10 a.m., just waiting for the 'post' button in Facebook to be clicked."
"We waited for things to become official, and it goes... he was number 1," he said.
Simondo is the first USLS graduate to top the Bar.
