Banque de l'Habitat de Cote d'Ivoire (BHCI) in the Ivory Coast is to be privatised, according to Reuters.

The struggling BHCI is to be converted into a commercial bank. The state currently holds a 51.6 percent stake in BHCI, which was established as a lender to homebuyers with moderate incomes.

Authorities said that the bank's resources do not allow it to properly fulfil the mission it had been given.
