Banks in Indonesia have reported rising non performing loans.

Indonesia's conventional and Islamic banks reported an increase in non performing loans (NPL) in the first seven months of this year.

According to the central bank, Indonesian banks had IDR63.3tn credits categorized as non-performing in July 2009, an increase from IDR50.9tn reported by the end of last year.
