Bank of South Carolina Corporation (NASDAQ: BKSC), the parent company for The Bank of South Carolina, has declared a 10 percent stock dividend, which will be payable on September 24, 2010 to shareholders of record as of September 10, 2010.

'The bank has performed well during the recession and the Board felt that this 10 percent stock dividend was an appropriate action for the benefit of the company's shareholders. The company intends to maintain its USD0.10 per share quarterly dividend,' said Hugh C Lane Jr, president and chief executive officer of The Bank of South Carolina.

The Bank of South Carolina has offices in Summerville, Mt. Pleasant, and the West Ashley community.
