Tennessee Bank Reports Overwhelming

Customer Response and Improved Operational Performance

Atlanta-based Beacon Software, Inc.(TM) and Cookeville, Tenn.-based Bank of Putnam County announced a regional Internet Banking Seminar to be held at the Bank's headquarters in Cookeville on March 25, 9 a.m. until noon. The seminar, which is open to community bankers in the Southeast, will focus on the benefits of in-house Internet banking systems, security issues and maximizing Check 21. Gladiator Technology Services, Inc., a provider of information technology vulnerability assessments, monitoring and reporting of firewalls and servers, is also sponsoring the seminar.

With a total of $400 million in assets, BPC Holding Corp., parent company of Bank of Putnam County and Cumberland County Bank, was the first community bank to implement Beacon's Compass Internet Banking Platform. David Williamson, executive vice president, BPC Holding Corp., explained that beyond offering end-customers the convenience of an Internet banking channel, Compass empowers financial institutions with total control and security of their customers' confidential information.

"Many community bankers have questions about whether or not electronic commerce pays off, issues with Web security and how to extract the most value out of check imaging for Check 21," said Williamson. "Bank of Putnam County and Cumberland County Bank have answers and positive results to report since implementing Compass."

Williamson, along with Brian Thiesen, co-founder and executive vice president, Beacon Software and Danny Johnston, president and CEO, Gladiator Technology Services will present results of the bank's implementation of Compass and address current issues impacting community banks with respect to Internet banking and Check 21.

For additional details on the seminar, contact Brian Thiesen at (404) 255-5847 or David Williamson at (931) 526-2338.
