Bank Al Jazira wins ISO 9001.

Bank Al Jazira (BAJ) has recorded a new achievement by obtaining the "ISO 9001" International Certificate of Quality in the areas of Trade Operations services and ATM services as the first fully Shari'ah compliant bank in Saudi Arabia.

Ziad Aba AI-Khail, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the bank, said that the bank's efforts led to success by obtaining " ISO 9001 "certificate for its Trade and ATM Services after assessment carried out by Moody's, the international grading firm.

Aba AI-Khail said that "obtaining ISO 9001 certification will improve customer satisfaction by providing services with sustained quality levels that fulfill customers' requirements and exceed their expectations,besides it will enhance the team work, reward outstanding performance and ensure continuous improvement of employees'skills.

It is noteworthy that Bank Al Jazira had won several awards earlier in recognition of its excellent Islamic Sharia compliant services.

Its social care program, known as "Khair Al Jazira Li Ahlil Jazira" also won accolades from various sections of the Saudi society.

The bank has set aside SR 100 million for suporting the program.

The program,which was implemented in cooperation with the government and private sectors,was meant for rehabilitation of those sections of the society with special needs.

Under the program, several vocational training courses were conducted to hundreds of Saudi young men and women to enable them to take up challenging positions in the emloyment market and thus to take part in the development process of the national economy.
