Bangles, henna stalls attracts Peshawaris girls in droves.
PESHAWAR -- The bangles and henna stalls setup in scores of shopping arcades and malls here Monday attracted girls in large number by decorating their hands to celebrate Eidul Fitr in most befitting manner.
As Eidul Fitre is around the corner, the Peshawar girls along with families thronged to markets both at city and cantonment to decorate their hands with bangles and henna by expert to look different on Eid.
'I came from Nowshera along with my father to decorate my hands with different designs by henna expert at Deans Trade Centre Peshawar,' Miss Meena Gul, a school teacher told reporter of Nowshera district.
'Without henna and bangles, my Eid seems incomplete,' she said, adding her main purpose of Peshawar's visit to decorate her hands with henna's experts as they knew about latest eye-catching designs and fashion trends.
Great rush of buyers are being witnessed on bangle stalls in all famous markets including Qisakhwani, Shafi, Deans Trade Centre, City Tower, Karimpura, Hashnagri and Saddar Road where girls are selecting appropriate items for themselves, relatives, friends and families members.
'I have purchased 20 sets of bangles for myself, relatives and friends on their request as special Eid offer,' Malaika Fakhar, a girl from Pabbi town told reporter.
'Crystal and shinny bangles always fascinate me whether it is Eid festivities, engagements or wedding ceremonies,' she said, adding she would come along with father to decorate her hands with henna on Chand Raat.
Inspite of increase in prices, she said, prices of henna and bangles are in the limit of buyers on Eid and that is why she purchased more bangles sets to look different on this eid.
Like these girls, thousands of shoppers from adjoining tribal districts including Khyber,
Mohmand, Bajaur, Kurram, Orakzai besides settled districts of Kohat, Swabi, Nowshera and Charsadda distircts were seen in markets with great hustle and bustle in city.
The girls are also taking keen interest in ready made garments of cotton and lawns suits as last leg of their shopping.
The shopkeepers are expecting high profits this year in the lucrative market of Peshawar on
this eid keeping in view of people's high rush, which will further increase on Chand Raat.
