The central bank of Bangladesh has called on seven banks in the nation to bring down the level of their soaring bad loans.

The banks: Sonali, Janata, Agrani, Rupali, National Bank, Islami Bank Bangladesh, and Al Arafah were issued the directive after an urgent meeting held at the central bank's headquarters on Tuesday.
